The Valley Gardens

|
The Valley Gardens, Harrogate,
Upon the West side of the Town,
Extensive grounds, with beauty great,
Have justly gained a wide renown;
In pleasant hollow, verdant green,
Enticing steps to thither stray,
They form a very charming scene
And tempt the Visitor to stay.
There, pleasant music fills the air
What time you pause and take your ease,
And happiness seems everywhere
In sweet surroundings such as these.
For those who would the Town avoid
Although requiring dainty fare,
Al Fresco teas are here enjoyed,
Among surroundings rich and rare.
When summing up the blessings great
That freely spring from Nature's fount
Around the Town of Harrogate,
The Valley Gardens also count.
