To my wife Elizabeth Simpson the land [long list of
field names then follows] now occupied by John Simpson, and
at her death the same to my two daughters, Jane Simpson and
Mary Simpson.
To John Simpson of Snaith, 1s.
To Thomas Simpson of Midlam, 1s.
To James Thompson of Low Hall, 1s.
To the daughter of James Thompson, 1s.
To my brother, Henry Simpson, £5.
All above to be paid after the death of my wife.
Residue of my goods, chattels and personal estate to my wife Elizabeth,
whom I appoint Executrix.

My copyhold house in Arkendale, now occupied by Rebecca
Bolland, to my sister Rebecca Bolland. [Rebecce
Simpson]
Half of my land in Arkendale to my daughter Jane, and
the other half to my wife, this half passing to my daughter Mary
on her death.
