Thruscross, Butcher
To my wife Mary Cockson, whom I appoint Executrix, my
ancient building and ½ acre of land in Thruscross, called Abbott
Close. Also all my personal estate.
At the death of my wife, and chargeable to the above real estate,
£40 to my niece Mary Pullan the wife of Robert Pullan of
Braisty Woods.
Also, to m wife, a barn and two closes called Cow Close and Broad
Ing in Thruscross, now occupied by Stephen Shepherd. She may
sell to settle my debts if my nephew John Cockson, son of my
brother John Cockson of Ripley, refuses to do so.
To my nephew John, the house in which I now live, along with
the surrounding land, chargeable with £5 to my nephew Thomas
Cockson, son of Robert Cockson of Cracoe, and £20 to my
niece Ann Morrill, daughter of Christopher Oldfield of
Thorlby, and £15 to his sister Ann Cockson, and £2 2s to my
niece Ann Preston, daughter of Robert Cockson, and 5s to
my niece Mary Constantine, daughter of Timothy Kay of
Cracoe
