To my wife Ann Hardisty my allotments of common for tithe at
Pannal, also a freehold allotment at Spinksburn.
At her death the same to my eldest son Joshua Hardisty,
chargeable with £100 each to my daughters Margaret Hardisty and
Ann Hardisty.
To my son William Hardisty my property, now occupied by Timothy
Myers, chargeable with an annuity of £8 to my son John
Hardisty.
To my son Thomas Hardisty, after the death of my wife, the
house in which I now live, with the land and buildings. Also the
house, now occupied by Abraham Fresh, and the [named] closes,
chargeable with an annuity of £4 to my son John.
To my son Charles Hardisty, after the death of my wife, the
house, now occupied by James Mountain and the [named] closes,
chargeable with an annuity of £3 to my son John.
To my son Samuel Hardisty, after the death of my wife, the
corn mill called Thurscross Mill and house, now occupied by Thomas
Young, along with a close, now occupied by Thomas Shepherd.
To my daughter Margaret Hardisty, after the death of my
wife, the house and [named] land, now occupied by Thomas Shepherd.
To my daughter Ann Hardisty, after the death of my wife, the
house and [named] land, now occupied by me.
To my youngest son James Hardisty my real estate in
Bishopside, now occupied by Robert Buctroot. Should he die
before reaching 21 then his legacy is to be shared with his siblings.
I appoint my son Joshua as his tutor in trust.
To my son Joshua my land and cattlegates at Dodd Hill and
Dacre Pasture, now occupied by Richard Abbott. Also the three
estates given to my sons Thomas, Samuel and Charles,
until the death of my wife, chargeable with annuities of £6 each.
Also the two estates given to my daughters Margaret and Ann.
My son Joshua to receive from William £8 annually to
provide food and clothing for my son John, until the death of
my wife.
Residue of my estates to my son Joshua whom I appoint
executor.
