Welcome to me!

Having retired (1992) after wandering around the world for 36 years, I thought that I needed to settle into some interesting projects to occupy my time and to keep the grey matter active.

I removed to Harrogate in 1977 and very soon became fascinated with the place. My first research project was an intensive study of Cold Bath Road, and part of this study necessitated the reading of the Harrogate newspapers from 1837 onwards. Whilst doing this I took the opportunity to do some extensive indexing and snippet / article extraction. It is this material that I will initially be putting on this site.

I am an avid collector of Harrogate books and ephemera and would welcome any additions to my collection.
