All my real estate in Menwith with Darley, now occupied by John Metcalfe, to my wife Jane Steel, and at her death to my children Matthew Steel, John Steel, Nancy (also known as Ann) Wade the wife of Francis Wade, Molly (also known as Mary) Metcalf the wife of John Metcalf. Subject to following legacies :

To the four children of my late daughter Hannah Kidd the wife of James Kidd - William Kidd, Jane Kidd, Hannah Kidd, James Kidd - £20 each.

The remainder of my estate to my wife whom I appoint as executor.
