Sulphur Wells, Stone Mason
My real and personal estate to my friends Jonathan Shutt of Bilton with Harrogate, Innkeeper,
James Tengatt of Sulphur Wells, Innkeeper, and William Kabery of Pateley Bridge, Grocer, Upon Trust :
To collect in all my outstanding debts and pay them. To sell the land at Low Harrogate that I bought off
John Hardisty. To place out at interest the remainder of my estate and pay the dividends to my wife
Edna Thackwray for her and my children’s maintenance. When my youngest attains 21 then the same to be divided amongst them, and an annuity of £20 to go to my wife.

He adds James Frankland of Sulphur Wells, Grocer, and his brother
Joseph Thackwray of Sulphur Wells, Stone mason, as additional Trustees.
