Bilton with Harrogate, Butcher
To my daughter Ann Raper my house in Bilton with Harrogate, now occupied by
Charles Greeves, with part of the adjoining garden and fronting the Leeds road. Also the two close in Bilton with Harrogate called the Lower Moor Closes and occupied by myself.
To my daughter Alice Raper [pencil note showing that Alice died before her father] my house in Bilton with Harrogate adjoining the other house, now occupied by
James Roberts, with the remaining part of the garden before mentioned. Also the two closes in Bilton with Harrogate called the Higher Moor Closes and occupied by myself. If
Alice dies before 21 then the same to go to Ann and my son
Charles Raper.
My household furniture to be divided amongst my three children.
The residue of my real and personal estate in Bilton with Harrogate and Pannal to my son
Charles.
To my daughter Mary Raper an annuity of £10, chargeable to the real estate left to
Charles. Also an annuity of £25 chargeable to the real estate left to
Ann. Also an annuity of £25 chargeable to the real estate left to
Alice.
I appoint my daughter Ann and my friends Matthew Wilkinson and
William Crosby as executors and guardians of Alice and
Charles during their minorities.
Witnesses : Samuel Powell, solicitor, Knaresborough, Charles Brunton, George
Bell, clerks to Samuel Powell.
Died 11th September 1826. Probate 21st October 1826. Effects under £450.
