Thomas Fairburn - 5th March 1738 - H042

Meggate, Parish of Hampsthwaite

The copyhold land left me by my father Thomas Fairburn I have already surrendered to Thomas Bramley and William Bramley. This land is to be sold on the death of my mother Elizabeth Fairburn and the money used as follows :

£5 to my brother John Fairburn. Also the ancient building.

£5 to Frances Rogers, wife of William Rogers.

£6 to my sister Elizabeth Fairburn.

£5 each to my younger brothers, Dennis Fairburn and Joseph Fairburn.

The above to be charged to the close called The Barfe.

The £10 to Frances Rogers, wife of William Rogers, bequeathed by my father to be charged to Moore Garth and the barn.
