Thomas Fairburn - 5th March 1738 - H042

Meggate, Parish of Hampsthwaite

The copyhold land left me by my father Thomas Fairburn I have already surrendered to Thomas Bramley and William Bramley. This land is to be sold on the death of my mother Elizabeth Fairburn and the money used as follows :

5 to my brother John Fairburn. Also the ancient building.

5 to Frances Rogers, wife of William Rogers.

6 to my sister Elizabeth Fairburn.

5 each to my younger brothers, Dennis Fairburn and Joseph Fairburn.

The above to be charged to the close called The Barfe.

The 10 to Frances Rogers, wife of William Rogers, bequeathed by my father to be charged to Moore Garth and the barn.
