George Dawson - 20th January 1740 - H063

Pannal, Yeoman

[Sworn statement by William Bradley on 31st December 1740]

Whereas George Dawson, of Pannal, Yeoman, did bequeath to his grandson, George Dawson, 80, which was out at interest, and the security of the money had passed to William Poppleton, his son-in-law, whom he had appointed guardian and trustee of his grandson until he reached 21.

Should the grandson die before reaching 21 when he would receive the principal sum, then the 80 was to pass to his two brothers and sister, being the children of William Dawson of Leeds.

Witnesses : Richard Bradley, William Bradley
