George Dawson - 20th January 1740 - H063

Pannal, Yeoman

[Sworn statement by William Bradley on 31st December 1740]

Whereas George Dawson, of Pannal, Yeoman, did bequeath to his grandson, George Dawson, £80, which was out at interest, and the security of the money had passed to William Poppleton, his son-in-law, whom he had appointed guardian and trustee of his grandson until he reached 21.

Should the grandson die before reaching 21 when he would receive the principal sum, then the £80 was to pass to his two brothers and sister, being the children of William Dawson of Leeds.

Witnesses : Richard Bradley, William Bradley
