Cornelius Cades - 3rd January 1723 - I044

Knaresborough, Yeoman

I have surrendered my Copyhold land called Craven Close and the house now occupied by Robert Jeffrey to the use of my Will. I now give this real estate to my wife Ruth Cades, and at her death the same to my daughter Ruth Cades.

To my wife Ruth I give the burgess house in Knaresborough High Street, along with the adjoining Malt Kiln, and at her death the same to my daughter Ruth.

To my wife Ruth the unexpired Lease under Thomas Slings of land in Scriven, and at her death the same to my daughter Ruth.

To my daughter Ruth £600 when she reaches 21.

I appoint my wife and my brother, Boss. Middleton guardians and tutors for my daughter Ruth until she reaches 21.

Residue of my real and personal estate to my wife whom I appoint Executrix.
