William Settle - 10th November 1749 - N049

Birstwith, Parish of Hampsthwaite, Mason

To my youngest son Joseph Settle £45 when he reaches 21. He is to receive interest on that amount prior to that time.

To my son Sampson Settle £43 when he reaches 21. He is to receive interest on that amount prior to that time.

To my daughter Hannah Settle £33. Also the bed and bedding from the parlour.

To my daughter Mary Wardman [Mary Settle], wife of James Wardman, £13 (having previously had her share).

To my daughter Jane Simpson [Jane Settle], wife of Thomas Simpson, £13 (having previously had her share).

To my eldest son Thomas Settle my copyhold property at Birstwith, chargeable with the above legacies.

Residue of my goods, chattels and personal estate to my son Thomas, whom I appoint Executor.

Witnesses : Henry Gill, William Simpson, Thomas Hill
