Robert Haigh - 14th September 1756 - P025

Knaresborough, Flax Dresser

My half share in a house in Finkle Street in Knaresborough, and all my personal estate, to my brother Richard Haigh, if he survives my sister Mary Haigh, chargeable as in the Will of my brother William Haigh.

I also charge the above with £200 as follows : £150 to my nephew Thomas Bateson and £50 to my niece Elizabeth Bateson, after the death of my brother Richard.

If my sister survives my brother, then the same to her with the same amounts charged.

To my servant Elizabeth Banks 10s 6d.

Residue of my goods, chattels and personal estate to my brother Richard, whom I appoint Executor. It is my wish tat my brother and sister continue living together and carry on the business of flax dressing.
