Jane Sykes - 25th April 1759 - P051

Wife of Nathan Sykes, Yeoman, Langbar, Parish of Ilkley

By power of a Surrender 21st April 1759. To my husband Nathan all my household goods and chattels, except a desk which I give to William Dearlove.

The Copyhold premises are surrendered to Thomas Parkinson and John Parker. When they have sold the premises and settled the debts – I give the residue of the money as follows :

To Richard Dearlove, the younger, £11.

To Ellen Dearlove and Hannah Dearlove, daughters of Richard, £6 each when they reach 21. Until then the interest to be used for their maintenance.

The residue of the money to be shared by my nephews William Dearlove and Richard Dearlove.

I appoint my two friends Thomas Parkinson and John Parker as Executors and Trustees.

Probate 4th June 1760. Inrolled 9th July 1760.
