To John Elgie of Cannon Street, London, confectioner, Thomas
Walker of the quarry near Wetherby, and to my nephew Richard
Snowdon junior, of Kirk Deighton, £1,500 Upon Trust to invest
and apply the interest for my wife Sarah Houseman.
At her death the principal sum to be divided :
£400 to my brother Roger Houseman.
£50 to my brother Richard Houseman. If he is deceased at
that time them the same to be divided amongst the three youngest
children of my brother Roger.
£250 to my brother Robert Houseman.
£100 to my sister Ann Cawthrey.
£150 to be invested and interest paid to my sister Ann
and her husband James Cawthrey. At their death the principal
sum to be divided amongst their three daughters. [The two eldest are
named as Sarah and Ann and are married]
£100 to my nephew Richard Snowdon.
£100 to my niece Ann Snowdon.
£100 to my nephew John Snowdon.
£100 to my nephew Henry Snowdon.
£50 to my brother Henry Houseman. If this legacy is not
claimed within three years then the same to be divided amongst the
three youngest children of my sister Ann.
The remaining £150 to my wife Sarah.
Also to my wife a further £60 immediately after my death. Also
my copyhold property at Beech Hill, Knaresborough now occupied by
myself and Thomas Hanson.
At her death this property to go to my Trustees to convey to my
nephew John Houseman, son of my brother John.
