Knaresborough, Gentleman
To my wife Dorothy Barnet my real estate within the Manors
of Knaresborough and Beechill.
The house to the East of the old Mill Gate near the river Nidd,
now occupied by my son-in-law, Nathaniel Sharpe, to him and
his wife Elizabeth Sharpe.
At the death of my wife the houses called Sandbed Houses and the
Tentergarth attached, now occupied by Christopher Ibbetson
the younger, John Chippendall, Richard Flower, John Robinson
and Elizabeth Buckle, within the Manor of Beechill; also the
house with the dyehouse, &c, at the North end of Mr Gallon’s
dyehouse, now occupied by Christopher Ibbetson; and all other
real estate not before disposed of, to my daughter Eleanor Hucks,
chargeable with : £40 to my daughter Elizabeth Sharpe. Also
a further £60 at the death of my wife.
To my niece Mary Shirley, now living in Portugal, £10.
My wife to have the use of my furniture, and at her death the
same (except my silver gill) to my daughter Eleanor.
My silver gill to my grandson John Hucks, at the death of
my wife.
An annuity of the interest from my personal estate to my wife.
My personal estate to my daughter Eleanor, whom I appoint
executrix.
