William Hucks - 22nd May
1782 - T070
Knaresborough, Esquire
I confirm the Deed of Trust made by me several years ago
respecting £1,000 at 3% vested in James Coulthard, late of
Chancery Lane, London, Gentleman. The annuities to be paid to my
children after the death of my wife Eleanor Hucks.
The late Hon Lady Viscount of Falkland left me £4,000 in
her Will, payable at the death of the Hon Lord Viscount Falkland.
I now give that £4,000 to my wife, chargeable with my legacies :
To my eldest son William Hucks £1,000.
To my daughter Eleanor Ward, the wife of Henry Townley
Ward, £600.
To my daughter Dorothea Bannetta Hucks £600 (this being
in full discharge of two legacies of £100 each; one was given to my
late daughter Harriette Hucks, deceased, and the other given
to her – both by the Will of Nicholas Carter).
To my two younger sons John Hucks and Joseph Hucks,
£600 each.
All my real estate to my wife, whom I appoint executor.
Witnesses : William Ward, James Holmes, Peter Earnshaw
