Scriven with Tentergate, Gardener
To my wife Ann Simpson my house that I now live in (except
the front parlour and servant’s hall with the chambers and garret
above), with the stable and shop. Also all the houses now occupied
by Simon Pawson, James Bradley, and William Imeson. Also
my goods and furniture, except that in the front parlour &c.
At her death the same to my son Thomas Simpson, who is to
pay £20 to my son John Simpson.
To my son John the front parlour, servants hall with the
chambers and garret above, now occupied by William Holmes, Ann
Colcutt, and John Holden, also the stable with warehouse
above. Also the furniture in the mentioned rooms. Also the residue
of my personal estate.

Codicil - 1st January 1784
To my wife Ann all the rents due from the house bequeathed
to her.
That which is given to my son John is in full satisfaction
of the £500 bond I entered in with him.
Witnesses : Robert Clark, William Pullan, James Collins.
