Joseph Smithson - 21st September 1779 - U079

Gill Botham, Parish of Fewston, Yeoman

My personal estate, goods and chattels to my wife Charity Smithson, whom I appoint Executrix. Also the rents from my real estate, for the maintenance and education of my daughter Susannah Smithson until she reaches 21.

When my daughter reaches 21 I bequeath all my real estate in the Township of Dacre and Bewerley, now occupied by Robert Benson, to her.

Whereas I am entitled to a copyhold estate in Timble Great at the death of my sister Ann Robinson; I give this to my nephews (her sons), Edward Robinson, Walter Robinson, James Robinson, John Robinson, and William Robinson.

The residue of my real estate, now occupied by myself, Joseph Roundel, Joseph Renton, John Leuty, George Walker, and Thomas Whitaker, to my wife. At her death, the same to my daughter.
