William Hardcastle - 5th February 1800 - X041 

Bowden Lane, Hampsthwaite, Yeoman

My Copyhold estate at Hampsthwaite and Killinghall to my wife Mary Hardcastle whom I appoint executor.

At her death, to my son William Hardcastle, the house near Hampsthwaite Hollings, called Crewitt House, along with the two closes adjoining the land of William Bannister and occupied by William Grayston. Also the two houses and shop in Killinghall now occupied by John Robinson and Joseph Hutchinson.

Also at her death, to my three daughters, Elizabeth Hardcastle, Mary Hardcastle, and Dorothy Hardcastle my real estate at Hampsthwaite Hollings occupied by John Whitfield and John Whitfield the younger, which was an inheritance from my aunt Ann Hardcastle; this is chargeable with £20 to my daughter Ann Whitfield.

Probate 20th January 1802.
