Felliscliffe, Parish of Hampsthwaite, Cordwainer

My real estate in Fewston to my nephew John Umpleby.

The £400 in the hands of Mr Walker, Mr Maud, and Joseph Hardcastle of Otley, and Robert Thompson of West End, I give half to the children of the brothers and sisters of my wife, i.e., :

Children of Anthony Demain Anthony Demain and Mary Petty

Children of William Demain William Demain, Robert Demain, Amos Demain, Isabel Hall, and Ellen Demain

Children of Ellen Myers William Myers, John Myers, Jonathan Myers, David Myers

Child of Margaret Snow – As William Snow is now dead his share to go to his widow Susanna Snow

As William Myers is now dead his share is to go to John Myers, William Myers, Micah Myers, Ellen Sibson the wife of Daniel Sibson, Hannah Hargrove the wife of Thomas Hargrove, and Jane Bake the wife of Gilbert Bake.

The interest on the remaining £200 to my sister Mary Umpleby the wife of Thomas Umpleby. At her death the same to her children John Umpleby, Thomas Umpleby, Mary Umpleby, Margaret Wilks the wife of James Wilks, and Ann Ridsdale the wife of John Ridsdale.

Residue of my personal estate to my brother-in-law Thomas Umpleby and my sister Mary Umpleby.

I appoint James Patrick and Thomas Umpleby the younger, both of Felliscliffe, as executors.
