Hartwith with Dinsley, Parish of Kirby Malzeard
I appoint my son William Myers executor.
To my daughter Mary Trees, wife of James Trees, the land called Hill Land, which I bought off my brother
Thomas Myers, in Menwith with Darley, now occupied by my son
William as tenant. Also the house called Poate House, now occupied by
Jonathan Pighels as tenant. Also £320.
To my daughter Ann Whittley, wife of George Wittley [sic], the two closes called Heselby Garth ands Ingelson’s Close, with the house, at Menwith with Darley, now occupied by my sons
William and Joseph Myers, as tenants. Also £500.
To my son William my ancient estate at Sheepcoat, Menwith with Darley, which was left to me by my father
Thomas Myers, consisting of 6 closes and a house, occupied by my son
William and John Reynard as tenants. At his death, the same to my grandson
William Myers chargeable with :
£10 each to my other grandchildren by William, John Myers, Mary Myers, Thomas
Myers, and Joseph Myers, when they each become 21. If payments are not made then they may hold the close adjoining
Isaac Greaves estate until payment is made.
The residue of my estates at Sheepcoat, which I bought off Thomas
Dawson, to my son William. Also the land called Poate Close which I bought off
Robert Crosby.
