William Hardcastle - 13th February 1809 - Y043

Menwith near Darley, Parish of Hampsthwaite, Cordwainer

To my wife Hannah Hardcastle all my personal estate (now in possession of George Houseman).

I appoint William Hardcastle, Blacksmith, and Thomas Petty (my son-in- law) of Darley, as executors in Trust.

At the death of my wife my personal estate to be divided amongst my daughters, Mary Hardcastle and Ann Hardcastle, and the other half to my son William Hardcastle.

Names furniture is divided amongst the children.

To my son-in-law, Thomas Petty, the lease of my house and land which I had off the late Miss Dougill of Knaresborough.

Witnesses : Peter Snow, Robert Petty, Robert Hardcastle

Probate 10th June 1809. Effects under £100.
