Leeds, Gentleman


All my estate called Star Beck Estate, part copyhold and part leasehold, now in the occupation of my brother-in-law Thomas Kitchen, to my wife Martha Kilbinton. After her death this same estate to go to Thomas Kitchen and Susannah Kitchen, his wife, chargeable with £500 to my old and esteemed friend Thomas Combe of Leicester, Stationer. Also chargeable with an annuity of £26 to Ann Lee the wife of Abraham Lee of St. James Street, Leeds.

The estate also to be chargeable with £50 each to William Lee and Ann Lee, the children of Abraham and Ann Lee.

After the deaths of Thomas and Susannah Kitchen then the Star Beck Estate is to go to Martha Kitchen, the daughter of Thomas Kitchen.

To the trustees and executors below named I give £550 to invest and the interest to go to my wife. After her death the money is to go to the children of my sister Elizabeth Brewer, the wife of Samuel Brewer of the City of London, Silk Manufacturer - £100 to Frances Sarah Brewer, Charlotte Brewer and Henry Brewer, Mary Perram, granddaughter of Elizabeth Brewer and £50 to Richard Atkinson, one of the sons of John Atkinson of Leeds, Solicitor to Samuel Wilkinson of Islington and 48 Friday Street, London, who at present stands indebted to me.

£200 to be remitted out of the money which shall remain owing from him at the time of my death, the interest upon which to go to my wife.

Remainder of my personal estate to my wife.

I appoint my wife and Thomas Kitchen of Star Beck joint trustees and executors.

Testator died 24th May 1818. Proved at York 8th July 1818. Inrolled 15th July 1818.
