Private George Henry Allinson

 
 

Harrogate Herald – 2nd January 1919

Private George Henry Allinson, 2/5th West Yorks Regiment, who was posted as missing since July 31st, 1918, has been reported as having died of wounds in France on that date. The deceased was 32 years of age and the second son of Mr and Mrs H Allinson, Haxby. He joined the Forces on July 10th, 1917, and was drafted overseas on October 28th following. Up to the time of enlistment he was employed by the North Eastern Railway Company as a platform porter at Cattal Station. He has left a widow and one son, who reside at Station Road, Whixley.
