Mrs Baines, residing at 6a Water Skellgate, Ripon, sister of Mrs Hudson, has received official intimation that her husband, Private Bernard Baines (21), of the West Yorks, who was posted missing since July 1st, 1916, is now presumed killed. Before the war he was in the employment of the Ripon Co-operative Society Ltd. He joined the Army in January, 1916, and went to the Front the following May.
