Sergeant Joseph Horrox, KOYLI, grandson of Mrs Horrox, 140 King's Road, who had been 21 months in France and in four engagements, and wounded three times, has been granted a commission. H J Birkinshaw, another Harrogate man, has been accorded a similar honour.
