Second Lieutenant R C Bordessa

 
 

Harrogate Herald – 4th April 1917

The many friends and acquaintances of Private R C Bordessa, Royal Engineers, son of Mr and Mrs P J Bordessa, of Pannal Ash, Harrogate, [Peitro John Bordessa, Rosehurst, Pannal Ash] will be pleased to hear he has had the distinction accorded him of being raised to Second Lieutenant for services in the field, the promotion dating from February 26th. Second Lieutenant Bordessa went out to France with the Canadian Machine Gun Company, where he was wounded, but recovered. He served his articles with the Harrogate Corporation as a civil engineer, and was subsequently on the engineering staffs of the York and Birmingham Corporations, and then secured a similar position on the Grand Trurk Canadian Pacific Railway.
