Mrs B Brown, Cistern Hill, Knaresborough, on Saturday received a telegram from a clearing hospital, expressing regret that her husband, Lance Corporal B Brown (West Yorks) had been dangerously wounded, and further information would be forwarded when received.

Mrs B Brown, Cistern Hill, Knaresborough, has received official intimation from the War Office that her husband, Lance Corporal B Brown, West Yorkshires, previously reported dangerously wounded, has died in hospital. Corporal Brown, who was formerly in the employ of J Hunter & Son, pork butchers, of Harrogate, leaves a wife and three young children.
