Sgt Brown, of the North Lancashires, is in the Grove House Hospital with the loss of a leg. He sustained the loss during the retreat from Mons in the very early part of the war from shell fire. He has since been in hospital at Leeds and Harrogate, and is now able to get about on crutches. he speaks highly, as do the others, of he treatment the men receive in hospital.
