Harrogate Herald - 21st March 1917

Roll of Honour

News has been received of the death in hospital, in France, on March 7th, from pneumonia, of Shoeing-Smith Charles Clarkson, cab proprietor, formerly of Harrogate. The deceased belonged to the RFA, and had been 16 months on active service in France. His death will be the more regretted owing to the fact he leaves a wife and three children. Like many more he has made the great sacrifice, and much sympathy will be felt for his family.
