Private John Edward Coates, stretcher bearer (WY), son of Mr & Mrs Coates, 15 Central Arcade, Harrogate, has been wounded, and is in Brabney Hall Hospital, Marple, Cheshire. He has been at the Front three winters, having joined up at the outbreak of war, three times gassed, and only had ten days leave in that lengthy period. His father has also been at the Front for two years, and a brother is in the RFC.
