Private Harry Cornthwaite Dale

Roll of Honour

Private Harry Dale (Lancashire Fusiliers), son of Tom Dale, late of the NER Glasshouses, Pateley Bridge, and now of Durham Street, Rochdale, was killed in action in Belgium on the night of the 6th inst. He was 31 years of age, enlisted in December, 1915, went to Egypt in September, 1916, and was transferred to France in March last. Before enlistment he was a stonemason, but after the war broke out he was for a time employed on munitions works. This is the tenth scholar from Glasshouses school who has fallen.
