Lieutenant Foster

Harrogate Herald - 19th September 1917

Roll of Honour

Mr R J Foster, Stockeld Park, on Thursday morning received a letter from the Admiralty, which states : "Telegram has just been received from Mudros that information has been obtained that a British aeroplane landed at Karaburnu, Syndra Gulf, and the officers are now prisoners of war. It is probable that the officers are your son and his companion". Although the news is rather uncertain, it seem probable that Lieutenant Foster is a prisoner in the hands of the Turks.
