Roll of Honour

The death occurred in hospital at Brighton, on August 28th, of Private M W Gill, at the age of 35 years. Private Gill, before joining the forces, was in the employ of James Whitehead, painter and decorator, of Knaresborough, for over a score years, and was the son of Mr & Mrs Fred Gill, Cheapside, Knaresborough. In compliance with the wish of the parents the funeral was of a private nature and took place at Knaresborough Cemetery on Saturday afternoon. The obsequies were conducted by Rev R F Applebe (Wesleyan circuit superintendent).
