Harrogate Herald - 8th December 1915

Lance Corporal Greenly, of the South Lancs Regiment, is in the Royal Bath Hospital with shrapnel wounds in the right leg. They were on the Arras front. They were a working party and were engaged in making a dummy trench when a shrapnel shell exploded among the seven who formed the party. Two were killed and five wounded, and one of the latter succumbed later. Lance Corporal Greenly is going on well.
