News has been officially received that Corporal George Usher Harper (West Yorks, of Fair View, Skipton Road, Harrogate, has been missing since May 3rd. Before joining up he was employed at Messrs Topham Bros., Oxford Street.

 

Harrogate Herald – 25th July 1917

Corporal G Harper, who has been wounded and is a Prisoner of War in Germany, was employed by Messrs Topham Bros., Oxford Street, Harrogate, prior to enlisting. He resided with his uncle, Mr Darby, tailor, who formerly carried on business in Parliament Street, and now resides in Bilton.
