Gunner Walter Hawley

 
 

Harrogate Herald - 29th August 1917

News has just been received by Mrs Hawley, Valley Drive, Harrogate, that her husband, Gunner Hawley, Royal Field Artillery, was killed in action on August 8th. Prior to enlisting he was employed by the Harrogate and District Co-operative Society as manager of the Harlow Hill branch, where he was very much respected, as he was by the management, being a very efficient employee.
