Mr and Mrs J Holmes, 4 Bondend, Knaresborough, have received intimation of their only son, Private G W Holmes, Royal Scots, having died of wounds received in the field on December 16th, 1917. Private Holmes joined the Forces two years ago, and was in the Cambrai battle. In civil life he was a postman in the Knaresborough district.
