Mrs Hudson, residing at 6a Water Skellgate, Ripon, has received official intimation from the War Office that her husband, Private Alfred Hudson (24), of the West Yorkshire Regiment, was killed in action on April 15th. Prior to the war Private Hudson was in the employment of Messrs R Kearsley and Co, varnish manufacturers. He joined the Army in March, 1916, and went to France in the following July. He is a native of Ripon, his father, Stephen Hudson, residing in Bondgate.
