Major Frederick Arthur Kelley

Harrogate Herald 24th November 1915

W H Breare letter

Captain Kelley, of Holly Court, St James' Park, is well and paying close attention to his military duties. I tell you this lest when you saw the paper last week you should be in doubt as to the death of Captain Kelley, of Beech Grove. You might have confused the two gentlemen. You will remember that Captain Kelley of Holly Court, has done much for the Infirmary and recruiting movements, particularly in the earlier time of the war when he was not so closely engaged in military duties.

Harrogate Herald – 29th January 1919

Major Frederick Arthur Kelley, of the Royal Defence Corps, who has recently been elected Member of Parliament for Rotherham, has just been appointed Office of the Military Division of the British Empire, a new Order recently created by His Majesty for officers on home service.
