Mrs C Malthouse, junior, of Knaresborough, received intimation from the Record Office at York, on Wednesday, to the effect that her husband, Private C Malthouse (West Yorks), was reported missing on May 3rd.

We understand a post-card has been received from Private C Malthouse (West Yorks), reported missing on May 3rd, informing his wife and parents he is a prisoner of war in Germany.

Mrs C Malthouse, junior, has received a brief letter from her husband as follows : J

ust a line to let you know the wound in my left arm is going on nicely, so don't worry about me. Keep smiling and look on the bright side. Young Walsh, of Knaresborough, is in the same camp as myself.
