Captain G R Nevitt (West Yorks), who was killed in action on November 28th, was the younger son of the late Mr J G Nevitt, surgeon, Leeds, and Mrs Nevitt, Harrogate, (and brother of Miss Nevitt, of the Inette Salon). He was shot through the head by a sniper., whom he had engaged with rifle grenades, and killed instantaneously. Prior to receiving his commission in October, 1914, he assisted with the Harrogate Defence League.
