Correction

In our report of the Knaresborough Petty Sessions last week, Private George Pawson, of the 3/5th West Yorks Regiment, was referred to as a deserter. Lieutenant and Adjutant Ernest A Pollard, the officer commanding of the regiment, informs us that no man becomes a deserter until after 21 days absence from his unit, and as Private Pawson was only a few hours absent he was only an absentee. We regret having made this error, and make the correction herewith in order to avoid any misunderstanding.
