Private Fred Relf

Harrogate Herald - 24th October 1917

W H Breare letter

To F Relf

Will you please forward me your full address? I sent a parcel last week to you, and it was returned owing to insufficient address. If other boys will be particular about this, the dispatch of parcels will be greatly facilitated.

Harrogate Herald - 28th November 1917

Letters

Fred Relf writes :

Just a few lines to thank you and the friends for the contents of parcel received today (17/11/17) quite safely. The boys had a very jolly time this afternoon with the mouth organ and 'cellaphone. I have met a few more Knaresborough boys in this sector. The names of them are Welsh, H????, and Abbey. It is a pleasure to meet some chaps from your own town - PS. The books are a godsend, as reading is very short here.

Harrogate Herald - 2nd January 1918

Letters

Private F Relf writes :

Just a line hoping you have had a merry Xmas and will have a prosperous New Year. We had our Xmas dinner Monday, December 17th, and had a good time.

Harrogate Herald - 2nd January 1918

Private F Relf, writing from France, says he is in favour of the name of the Kursaal being changed.
