Mrs Rounding, Galphay House, Gracious Street, Knaresborough, has received official intimation from the War Office of the death of her husband, Private Hugh Rounding, Manchester Regiment, and formerly in the Army Service Corps, who was killed in action on July 31st. He had been with the colours nearly two years, and prior to joining was coachman to the Rev A Freeman, Cold Bath Road, Harrogate, for six and a half years. Private Rounding, who was in his 42nd year, was son-in-law to William Allen, of Knaresborough.
