Private Shaw

Harrogate Herald - 25th April 1917

Chats with the Wounded

Private Shaw, of the Royal Fusiliers, is in the Royal Bath Hospital suffering from the effects of rheumatism supervening on shell wounds. After being wounded during fighting on the Western front, and brought back to this country, he went into hospital at Whalley, near Blackburn. His wounds healed only for rheumatism to develop, and he was sent to the Harrogate hospital. Here he is undergoing the treatment, including baths and massage, and is deriving considerable benefit therefrom.
