Roll of Honour

Just as we are going to press, we learn that Lance Corporal John L Tempest (24392), West Yorks, son of Mr & Mrs W Tempest, Broomleigh, Pannal, was missing on May 3rd. The lance corporal was one of the devoted choristers at Pannal Church, a communicant, and much sympathy goes out to the anxious and troubled parents, seeing that this is the second son missing out of five who offered themselves to the King and country. Lance Corporal Tempest was confirmed by the Bishop of Knaresborough, March, 1915. Any news of the missing man will be greatly received by the parents.
