Private G Walker (acting Staff Sergeant), 5th Battalion West Yorks Regiment, of York Place, Knaresborough, has been awarded the MSM. Private Walker joined the Forces in 1914, and went out to France with the 1/5th West Yorks in April, 1916. In civil life he was a clerk at Messrs Powell, Son, and Eddison, solicitors, and hon. Secretary of the Knaresborough Association Football Club for several years.
