The death has occurred from wounds received in action of Sergeant W Alfred Waud, of the Royal Field Artillery. He was the eldest son of Mr & Mrs A Waud, of 4 Grainger Street, York. He was 24 years of age, and two years ago spent some time in Harrogate, where he made many friends.
